Powerful Virtual Trips Because Human Nature Seeks Adventures & Travels

Almost every human, at his or her essence, loves adventure and travel.  You’ve likely met people that consider themselves “home bodies” yet, when they’re pressed, you’ll discover that most  meet this need for travel and adventure in ways other, than what we typically  consider “travel.”

They may love going into the city and seeing the sights and hearing the sounds, before returning to their abode, or taking a drive through the countryside or into an unknown area that’s close by home.

There lies within all of us this “pull” to discover and explore – and with that in mind, who is better than sharing their adventures and taking us along on a virtual trip than bloggers?

Whether you consider yourself a person with deep wanderlust, a host to travelers in your room rental, B&B or resort,  at VacationDiggs we believe that each of us can and should experience more of life’s magic by sharing in the journeys that these wanderlust bloggers  offer.

Vacation Rentals save more than Sense

Wether going on a family vacation or a long term stay a vacation rental can save you a bunch of cash and provide amenities and an experience that you won’t find at a resort.

San Antonio, Texas – VacationDiggs.com is the newest vacation rentals site on the internet though its founder Angelica Alaniz, isn’t new to promoting and renting vacation rentals to travelers looking for a different type of vacation to a traditional resort of hotel.  Alaniz was the founder of 2 of the internets first vacation rental sites, Goin2travel.com and 4BeachNuts.com, sites that she sold early in 2004.  Angie is back in the vacation rental listing site business again with her latest venture, VacationDiggs.com. With a passion for finding travelers great deals and internet promotion it’s not surprise that Alaniz is back in the vacation rental business.

I sat down with Angie a few days ago and asked to discover “why vacation rentals?”

Perhaps this is a common question though I’m curious why would anyway want to stay at a vacation rental rather than a resort?

“There are numerous benefits of vacation rentals especially during the uncertain economic conditions that we face. Vacation rentals are great for both highly-budget conscious travelers, those on a tight budget or large groups looking to stay in a beautiful villa with incredible amenities — often at far less than the cost of renting hotel rooms.

Yes, a terrific vacation rental is going to require slightly more due diligence than staying at a well known resort, though the internet provides many ways today to ensure that you are getting exactly what the vacation rental owner says you are. With some searching and reading reviews, today’s savvy traveler can find a much better travel experience, nicer accommodations than a hotel room at a fraction of the cost. Nicer is somewhat personal taste though it’s certainly a “slower” and more “real” type of experience.

One of the major benefits of vacation rentals is you get more for your money. Vacation rentals typically provide you with far more privacy than than a single hotel room. For example, in the Caribbean or Hawaii at the same price as a two or three star hotel room, 3 couples can stay at a condo each couple will have the privacy of their own bedroom for what would typically be the cost of one hotel room. Now’s that’s tough to beat especially when you look at all the other amenities that come with vacation rentals.

Vacation rentals, like resorts, come in all shapes and size. They range from small studios in places like Paris and London, where staying at a hotel can be outrageously expensive, to villas that are suitable for royalty though when shared by a large group typically are extremely affordable especially in comparison to a hotel or resort.

Another major benefit of vacation rentals is that you can typically save even more based on longer term price breaks. Almost every vacation rental owner offers a number of price breaks that include weekly and monthly rental rates. For even longer term stays you can typically negotiate an even larger discounted rate, have the owner waive cleaning fees or include extra cleaning.

One of the other considerations for staying at a vacation rental is you get to be part of the “slow” travel movement. Instead of being rushed by the hustle and bustle typically associated with a resort, when you stay at a vacation rental you’ll typically be located in a residential resort community where you can live as the locals and long term residents do – or go into the faster paced lifestyle of the resort area. In Europe, vacation rentals are often located found away from the usual tourist spots, perfect for those trying to get off of the beaten path.

Staying at a vacation rental is also be terrific way for the budget conscious traveler to be able to stay at a better location than they could in a hotel. In places such as Cabo San Lucas or Hawaii, where there is a huge number of condos and villas, you can find great diggs right on, or near the beach, just the kind of location almost all vacationers would love and at far less than the price of a hotel room.

There are also other more obvious benefits of vacation rentals such as a full kitchen (great for saving money by eating in), often your own swimming pool or a shared one, many rooms just for you and your guests and the feeling that this is your home away from home. Typical other benefits of vacation rentals may include free equipment use, such as snorkels, boats, bicycles, surf boards and the extremely important washing machine.

Having stayed at many vacation rentals the experience is something that a traveler should discover :). It’s a wonderful way to travel and really get a feel for the place and save money while there.”

Thanks for sharing I’m definitely going to check out what you have at VacationDiggs.com.
